Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Arsenal are in desperate in need of a good central defender for Per Mertersacker replacement and manager Arsene Wenger’s first-choice target appears to be Valencia’s and the German compatriot Shkodran Mustafi.
We will be facing Liverpool in our first game of the new Premier League season tomorrow, but will be without the services of three senior defenders.
Both Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista are said to miss the clash after they’ve sustained long-term injuries during the club pre-season, while French international Laurent Koscielny only returned to training this week after given an extended break following the Frenchman performance for his country at the Euro 2016.

Mustafi, 24, has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates stadium as the possible replacement for duo, with conflicting reports suggesting in the media today that his camp arrived at London today.
There are also strong report that the German had agreed personal terms with the Gunners, but his father has dismissed those speculations soon after.
An earlier report is now suggesting that Mustafi rumours now has taken a twist as it has been reported that Mustafi’s camp have arrived in London, leading to speculation that a deal is indeed close to completion.
