Highly rated Sporting CP and Portuguese international Joao Mario is reportedly on the verge on completing a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan. Earlier the Portuguese has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates stadium which on would have thought would become done in just a tweak of a hair.
Reports according to the Portugal daily Abola, Nerazzuri have reportedly reached an agreement with the Italian giants over a transfer worth €50 million after several weeks of intense negotiations.
Inter Milan just as Arsenal was reluctant to go below the Portuguese club asking price for the midfielder, which is reportedly in the range of €60 million. They’ve refused to pay above their submitted €40 million. However, it’s believed that an agreement is set to be in cards between the two clubs.
However, there are rumours that Sporting CP has offered a five-year deal believed to worth €3 million a year to Mario.
Mario, 23, made 33 caps in the Primeria Liga for Sporting in the last campaign and bagging six goals in the process.
