Manchester City and Belgium international is reportedly set for a move out from Etihad stadium this summer should the right offer shows up this summer.
The 21-year-old Belgium international joined the Manchester City back in the summer 2013.
However, he is yet to make any first-team appearances for the two-time Premier League champions and he’s spent the past two years on loan with Galatasaray and Celtic respectively.
The Turkish giants – Galatasaray – were rumoured to be keen to take him back to the club on a temporary basis this season.
However, there are suggestions the Belgian international was apparently told by the club new manager Pep Guardiola that he would be offered the chance to prove himself at the Etihad stadium and turned down their advances.
Despite the promise from the manager, he seems to have fallen down the pecking order by the emergence of Tosin Adarabioyo and the arrival of John Stones from Everton.
Arsenal was last month linked with a possible move with the Belgium international and Arsene Wenger is desperately keen on bolstering his defensive options ahead of the upcoming season.
According to report from the Daily Star, it read that, “he may be boosted by the Manchester Evening News‘ claim that Denayer would be tempted to walk away from City if he was approached by the right club before the transfer window slams shut on August 31.”
Should we fail in signing the Belgium international this summer, he will likely move out from the club on loan deal to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon who according to reports have made contact with his representatives.
