Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Arsene Wenger has dropped a massive and impressive hint that Granit Xhaka could be the Gunners future captain.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder moved to the Emirates stadium earlier before the transfer window opens for a fee around £30million.
The Swiss is still only 23-year-old, he was made the Bundesliga club skipper last campaign and it appears the Frenchman is already well aware of his leadership skills.
Wenger as quoted by the Mirror said, ‘He’s highly focused and has settled in,’ the French boss said ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Leicester City.
‘He’s got the qualities of someone who can take responsibility.’
Large sections of Gooners are calling for Xhaka to start against the Foxes this weekend following their 4-3 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Whilst Xhaka playing only 24 minutes against the Anfield giants, he committed for fours, the most of any player in the opening weekend of a Premier League game ever.
