52-year-old Kuwaiti, Abdullah Al-Rashidi believed to be an Arsenal won bronze in the men’s skeet while in an official Arsenal shirt, as according to the London Evening Standard.

Al-Rashidi a Kuwaiti international was competing as an independent athlete at this summer’s games, the Kuwaiti choose to put an Arsenal jersey beneath his shooting vest while he’s competing in Brazil as he won the hearts of the spectators.

The athletes from Kuwaiti have reportedly been forced to compete as independent athletes after the IOC banned the county’s Olympic committee following government interference, and two representatives from the country have both tasted success in Rio.


Al-Rashidi compatriot and fellow shooter Fehaid Al-Deehami secured gold in the men’s double trap.
