Arsenal summer acquisition Takuma Asano from Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Japanese international will not feature this season for the Gunners after it was revealed that he has not been a granted a work permit.

The Japanese striker moved to the Emirates stadium in £3m from the Sanfrecce earlier this summer. Asano will now need to be loaned to a foreign club if he is to get any game time this season.

Another youngster at the Emirates stadium who’s poised to spend a season on loan at a Bundesliga club, with report suggesting both FSV Mainz 05 and Hertha Berlin are said to be interested in the winger.

In other news, there are reports that the Gunners are among a number of Premier League teams scouting Nottingham Forest youngster Oliver Burke.
