£25m Bid Accepted – Medicals Ongoing, BBC CONFIRM Defender To Arsenal Transfer

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

There is a report coming from BBC’s sports broadcaster Pat Murphy claiming West Bromwich Albion have reportedly told their senior defender and Northern Ireland international Jonny Evans that he will not be open to move out from this club this summer.

The 28-year-old former Manchester United defender has been linked with a move with the Gunners but there has been no official bid submitted by the north London club for Evans.

There are also reports suggesting the Premier League club are demanding £25m for defender which has raised speculation about Arsenal’s interest in signing him.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph reported earlier that the Baggies’ valued Evans at a stunning £30million. The defender moved to the Hawthorns from United during the last campaign for a fee believes to be £6million.

However, as West Brom bos Tony Pulis is said to be keen on bringing in reinforcements before the transfer window deadline, he’s not said to be interested in parting with his first-team stars.

Arsenal has left it late in the transfer window as they seek to bolster their squad and as such are finding it difficult to get the crucial deals for a center-back and a striker done before the transfer window officially closes in just 9 days.
