BBC Report ! Griezmann To Arsenal In January BBC Hints At Arsenal Deal

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
The striker dilemma at Arsenal has been one which has left fans as well as the manager frustrated at times.
The additions of Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi may have eased the burden but the fans still see a sense of unfulfilled potential at the striker position at Arsenal. Many feel that the talents of Mesut Ozil deserves a world class addition to fulfill his undeniable world class ability. Antoine Griezmann fits that bill perfectly.
Atletico Madrid have had a rocky start to the season, drawing their first two games and are already 4 points behind the current Liga leaders Real Madrid.

No one is denying the genius of Diego Simeone, but the start that his side has made must not fill the players nor the manager with much confidence.

It showed when Griezmann told his interviewer that if his team continues the way they are going, they’ll be fighting to stay up.

Clearly upset at the current state of affairs at the club and you can get Diego Simeone won’t be happy about these comments made either.

Talk of Arsenal being interested in Griezmann came from the SUN and has laughed and ridiculed. For one, it doesn’t make sense. Arsenal do not have the money to prise the Atletico man away from the club nor do they have the conviction currently that would attract a World class player in Griezmann.

Having said all that, now that I think about it, it’s not ENTIRELY impossible. Griezmann has already made it clear he isn’t happy with the current situation at the club. If Atletico continue to perform the way they are doing now, it would be plausible to make a move for the player in January

Arsenal have already bought a lot in the past few January markets, but to attain someone like Griezmann they would have to be willing to pay. His €100m buyout clause is also an issue, but this seems to be the only way to pitch a move for the forward as he would be more inclined to move if things aren’t as sunny as they are at Atletico.

Spending close to €100m isn’t Arsenal’s style, nor would you expect something similar from them, but to get the best you have to invest heavily and judging by the signing of Ozil and Sanchez and the tweet by BBC journalist David Orstein, it appears Wenger will be willing to spend the necessary cash should the opportunity arise.
