Former Manchester United and Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes Arsenal need three more signing to be the Premier League title and others contenders.
Arsenal have been seen to have only made three signings this summer transfer so far despite the manager Arsene Wenger being linked with a host of players in current transfer window.
The Frenchman recruited former Borussia Monchengladbach and Switzerland international midfielder Granit Xhaka in a £33m from the Bundesliga side earlier this summer ahead of the Euro 2016 tournament.
The Arsenal boss has also completed deals for Japanese forward Takuma Asano and promising Bolton Wanderers centre-half Rob Holding.
The boss has also completed deals for Japanese forward Takuma Asano and promising Bolton Wanderers centre-half Rob Holding. The new Manchster United manager Jose Mourinho has spent over £200m in the signing of Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly, Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan and world-record signing Paul Pogba.
Spanish tactician Pep Guardiola, too, has spent big on improving his Manchester City squad following arrivals of Nolito and John Stones.
The former Bayern Munich and United midfielder is keen that the Gunners still need a centre-half, right winger and centre-forward if the north London club are to challenge for the Premier League title and other league this season.
“They’re in danger [of falling further behind],” Hargreaves told BT Sport [via The Sport Review] during Thursday’s coverage of the Champions League draw.
He added that, “If you’re an Arsenal fan, they need £100m – three players – and they could win the league. They need an athletic centre-half, right-winger, and a striker. Three players and they could easily win the Premier League.”
So far, there’ve been strong report claiming our summer centre-back Shkodran Mustafi and Deportivo La Coruna’s forward Lucas Perez after Wenger admits the duo have completed their medicals and the only lone issue is their paperwork’s to get completed before they could be announced.
