Welcome To The Emirates + PHOTOS: Superstar Arrives LONDON, We Love Him

The CEO of Viking FK, the side Arsenal faced in pre-season, has confirmed that they are in talks with Arsenal over taking Kelechi Nwakali on loan should they fail to get a permanent work permit for the Nigerian.

Speaking to OwngoalNigeria.com, Erik W Henningsen confirmed that the deal will only happen if Arsenal are not successful in getting the Home Office to turn Nwakali’s six month work visa into a permanent one.

Due to this temporary visa, even if Arsenal and Viking do agree to a loan, it won’t happen until January as Arsenal want to keep the player at the club where he will be allowed to train until his visa expires.

In addition, Viking are also discussing taking Gedion Zelalem, who spent last season with Rangers, to Norway although that may not happen until January either.

Unlike previous seasons, all loans must be sorted before the transfer window closes.
