Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
We were to so lucky to have come away from the Parc Des Princes with just a point in the UEFA Champions’ League group stage opener against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday evening.
Report that came out before match against the Le Parisiens claims the manager Arsene Wenger has decided to leave out Petr Cech in favour of the Colombian international David Ospina. Many fans could not believe the news.
The Colombian international was seen picking the ball out of his net under a minute into the match as our previous summer target Edison Cavani headed home from close range to give the Ligue 1 giants and impressive start.
However, most of the fans condemning Ospina and accusing Wenger for starting him ahead of Cech were later seen at the end of the match singing praises to his ear as he improved dramatically stopping everything that came in front of him as the French champions threatened to run away all three points.
Undeniably, his brilliant performance on the pitch that helped us kept the score at 1-0 and it proved crucial as despite PSG’s dominance, Alexis Sanchez popped up in the 77th minute to grab an equaliser late on.
Many and even the fans at the top were doubting him before kick-off, but as the reaction of Twitter shows, Gunners were were singing his praises at full-time…
Yep yep. Top performance from Ospina as per, much better than Cech.
