Arsenal and Tottenham will be going head-to-head in the signing of £20m-rated Galatasary winger Burma, according to a report English news outlet Squawka.
The duo north London rival club have scouted the 21-year-old on numerous occasions this year, with strong enquires being made into potential transfer fees and wage demands.
Bruma, who has been dubbed the next Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal, signed for the Turkish side in 2013 following a drawn out transfer dispute that saw Sporting CP earn €10m from selling the youngster.
His impressive displays this season have also caught interest from the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, both of whom are reportedly keeping tabs on the Portugal U21 international.
Squawka suggest that Bruma could be sold as early as January, as the player is unwilling to extend his contract, which expires in 2018.
Galatasaray are pulling out the stops to get Bruma to sign a new deal, and are apparently desperate to include a £22m release-clause so they can cash in on the sale.
Despite being billed as the next big thing to come out of Portugal, Bruma has struggled to maintain a consistent level of performances in Turkey, leading him to be sent on loan to Real Sociedad last season.
His performances picked up in San Sebastián, where he made 32 appearances for Sociedad, scoring three goals.
As a result of his age, Bruma could be a prime candidate to slot into Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham team, but the Lilywhites will face stiff competition from Arsenal, who are desperately seeking cover in wide-areas.
