Arsenal’s and Chilean international Alexis Sanchez could raise a £50million transfer battle Juventus and Manchester City if he fails to agree to a new contract talks with Arsenal, according to report coming from Europe.
The Mirror, in one of its report claimed the Chilean he’s keen on having a release clause place in any deal he would be signing whilst seeking a substantial pay-rise on his current £130,000-a-week deal.
Also, the fact that no contract is yet to be agreed between the Gunners and the Chilean has alerted City and the Serie A champions.
He will have just one year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates and Arsenal are believed to be interested in tying him down for another three years, with talks reportedly on-going since August.
There are also reports that the Citizens and the Old Lady have been a long-time admirer and hoping Arsenal would sell the star if he is left on his current contract at the end of 2016/17 campaign.
That would open the club to the danger that the former Barcelona man could opt to see out his current deal and leave on a free transfer in 2018.
City boss Pep Guardiola beat off competition from Juventus in 2011 to sign Sanchez for £23 million for Barcelona from Udinese.
The Chile international, who lifted the Copa America with his home country in the summer, has been in fantastic form for Arsene Wenger’s side this term.
He has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 15 Premier League and Champions League games as Wenger has utilised him in a forward role.
