Arsenal are reportedly lining up a surprise move for Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard. The Emirates outfit have showed interest in the England international just days after it emerged that United are monitoring Mesut Ozil.
According to The Sun, the North London giants are prepared to take advantage of Jesse Lingard’s contractual status at Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old currently has 18 months left on his £30,000-a-week contract, and the Gunners are confident of quadrupling his wages in order to lure him to the Emirates.
Lingard has been a key player for the Red Devils over the past year, but he is in no hurry to extend his contract with the club’s hierarchy far off from his wage demands. (£120,000-a-week)
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also in a similar situation with German international Ozil, who is said to demand wages in excess of £300,000-a-week to commit his future.
