Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
As reported by Daily Star, ARSENAL will announce the signing of Cohen Bramall this week. That is according to journalist Sam Elliott.
Bramall, a left-back who plays for Hednesford, has been on trial with the Gunners.
The 20-year-old impressed during his spell with Arsenal and reports last week suggested he could be offered a two-year-deal. And now the deal looks likely to be rubber-stamped this week.
Elliott tweeted earlier today: “Hearing Arsenal have won the race to sign Hednesford Town’s Cohen Bramall, the 20-year-old left-back. Will be confirmed this week #AFC”
It would be a remarkable rise in the career of Bramall, who currently plies his trade in the seventh tier of English football.
Neither Arsenal or Hednesford have confirmed whether a deal will happen.
It’s unlikely Bramall, who can also play on the left-wing, would go straight into the first-team squad.
A spell with the under-23’s would be most likely before a chance with Arsene Wenger’s side.
With Kieran Gibbs’ long-term future at the Emirates looking uncertain, there could be a position available if Bramall was to join.
