End of Sanchez ! – £80m-rated Aubameyang To Have Medicals On Monday

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

Arsenal’s chances of signing Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been handed a big boost after the club’s director, Hans-Joachim Watzke, admitted he could leave for the right price.

The Gabon international has been continually linked with a move away from the Bundesliga giants and Arsene Wenger’s a known admirer of the forward.

The 27-year-old’s scored 20 goals in 22 appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s side this term but he fueled speculation about a transfer to Real Madrid earlier this season by suggesting he’d jump at the chance of move to the Bernabeu.

Dortmund would rather keep Aubameyang but Watzke says there are bids that the club could not reject.

I do not think there are an awful lot of clubs Auba would like to join,’ Watzke told Bild.

‘There has been a lot of talk about a transfer for the past two or three years, but he is still at Dortmund. It used to be the same story with Marco Reus. He was supposedly going to every club in the world as well, but he is still here.

‘Of course, everyone has his price in football, regardless of who we are talking about.

‘But we are not even thinking about a transfer at the moment, because there is nothing happening for now.

‘If an offer comes in that does turn his head, we will sit down and discuss it. But even that does not mean he will definitely leave. Auba still has a long-term contract here.’
