Borussia Dortmund would consider selling star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if they receive an offer in excess of €70million.
The Gabon international, who scored the opening goal of the Africa Cup of Nations this week, has repeatedly been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid thought to be interested.
The 27-year-old’s good form has continued this season prior to his departure to the AFCON, scoring 20 goals in 22 appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s side who sit sixth in the league table.
Hans-Joachim Watzke, the club’s director, recently admitted that the club could be tempted to cash in on Aubameyang if they were to receive the right offer.
Now, German publication Bild, claim that the sum of €70m – which equates to around £61m – would be enough to force the board to discuss the potential sale.
Despite the speculation, the player himself attempted to dampen rumours by claiming he would wait for ‘the right moment’ before leaving Dortmund.
‘For now I’m very happy at Dortmund,’ he said.
‘I’ve had enough of talking about it but this is not the right moment for me to join a club such as Real Madrid,’ he added.
