Dimitri Payet wants out of West Ham United and reports suggest that two top Premier League clubs have moved in to sign the French international.
Daily Star reported that Manchester United and Arsenal have opened talks with the representatives of Payet to see if he will want to join.
The Gunners were interested in signing Payet last summer as well. Two months back, Mirror claimed that the North London club are ready to sign the £35million rated ($43million) superstar. Moreover, last month, reports suggested that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger personally called Payet to tell him that he is wanted at Emirates Stadium (SW via Le10Sport).
Arsenal splashed heavy cash to lure Granit Xhaka last summer. Now, securing the signature of Payet will further amplify the quality of their attack.
Star have reported that the 29-year-old star wants to join Marseille who have recently got two bids rejected for the playmaker.
The above mentioned asking price is very high and it will not come as any surprise if the French side fail to match it. On the other hand, the Emirates club have the financial power to sign Payet.
At the moment, Oxlade-Chamberlain starts on the left wing and record signing Ozil starts in the No.10 position behind Ibrahimovic. Ozil has got the freedom to move into the midfield as well.
The Les Bleus star can play in multiple attacking positions but if he does end up at United, Wenger will most likely utilize him in the left hand side of the attack.
