Arsenal want Bayer 04 Leverkusen playmaker Hakan Çalhanoğlu, according to reports from Turkey.
The Daily Star are citing reports from Turkish media outlet Fanatik that reporting Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants the 22-year-old.
Wenger is reportedly ready to step up his interest in Çalhanoğlu as the report says that Arsenal are set to make a £15 million move for the Turkish international this month.
Fanatik are quoted as saying:
“Hakan Çalhanoğlu is wanted by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.”
The report states that the Emirates outfit sent scouts to watch the German-born playmaker in action during Bayer Leverkusen’s 1-1 draw at neighbours FC Köln just before the winter break in Germany. Hakan Çalhanoğlu has gone on to score 15 goals and 15 assists in his 74 Bundesliga appearances including four goals and four assists in his 13 games this term.
