Arsenal have been showing keen interested in signing Spanish international and Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata for quite some time.
Last month, we covered a report (via Spanish media) claiming that Arsenal are favorites to sign the 24-year-old star, who is rated around 60 million euros (£52million)
According to reports this month, the Gunners now seem favorite to sign the former Juventus striker, who is ready to leave Real Madrid and expects to join the Emirates club next summer (Telegraph).
Unfortunately, the Spaniard has mainly warmed the bench under Zidane, who has selected him just 11 times in his starting XI.
As per the provided Telegraph link, Morata is a fan of Wenger and the French manager wants him to replace Alexis Sanchez at Stamford Bridge. Though it remains to be seen if is good enough than Sanchez.
The former Barcelona striker has been the driving force behind Arsenal’s title push this season. He has scored 15 league goals, one less than top scorer Lukaku, who netted four in his last league game.
The Los Blancos star is faster than Sanchez, moreover, he is versatile as well and can play effectively on the left wing if needed.
