Arsene Wenger has always been a good manipulator of the media, and has once again got the fans dancing to his tune.
Since Christmas, the Arsenal supporters, has been left guessing what is on the mind of the Frenchman regarding his future at the club.
Not only has it disoriented the players, reducing the quality of their play, it has had fans divided by publicly fighting outside the Emirates stadium.
The disunity in the club is quite the opposite of what the club represent and the longer the wait, the more uncertainty over the future of the club.
However, in the pre-match press conference of what could possibly be his last game in charge of the Gunners, Wenger confirmed when he would reveal his decision to the world.
And although it didn’t turn out to be the news everyone has been expecting from him, Wenger did reveal he would sit with the club officials after the FA Cup final on May 27th.
“There are many aspects to be discussed at a board meeting. One is what happens with the manager.
“Of course I will be there. At the moment we should focus on the short term and what is going on on Sunday and in the cup final.”
The understanding behind Wenger’s future is that he will extend his stay in the North London club regardless of whether Arsenal land a spot in the Champions League.
It is believed that the Arsenal board will grant him another season to turn around the fortune of the club.
