Forget Luka Modric ! – Arsenal Complete Move For £275,000-a-week Star, Medicals Scheduled

Arsenal are ready to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window and they must spend massively in fixing the jammed guns, as they are desperately serious to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Recently, report claimed via Diario Gol that the Gunners are ready to break the back to sign Luka Modric from Real Madrid. Now, reports are suggesting that the North London club are also targeting two more stars from Real Madrid in the form of Brazilian international Danilo and French skipper Karim Benzema.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, the former Porto defender has failed to liver up to his huge price tag of 31.5million euros and now the La Liga champions want to ship him out of the club in the summer transfer window.

The report from the Spanish outlet went on claiming that the Gunners are the ones interested in signing the 25-year-old defender because Hector Bellerin is keen on moving back to Barcelona in the summer. Moreover, it is claimed that our side will be ready to pay Real Madrid 20 million euros for the South American but are ready to multiply their offer if Benzema is included in the deal as well.

On the other hand, Karim Benzema has not been in brilliant form for Madrid this season as Zidane’s first choice center forward. In 46 appearances across all competition, the Frenchman’s compatriot has only be able to score 18 goals and registered 9 assist.

Nevertheless, Real are in the Champions League final and need just one point to win the Spanish La Liga title so perhaps, the Frenchman’s efforts have been effective enough. Most notably, Benzema took on three defenders and set up his side’s crucial away goal to kick out Atletico Madrid out of the Champions League.

The Gunners are not really re-owned for paying their players huge wages. It remains to be seen if we will be able to meet up with the Les Blues star. His current deal with the Los Blancos will expire in 2019 and according to Daily Star, his current weekly-wages in around £275,000-a-week ($356,000-a-week).

The Gunners do need a quality out and out center forward this summer but should they splash the cash for a star who would turn 30 in December?
