Arsenal star leaves for Bayern Munich

Alexis Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich took a trip down to Germany to commence contract negotiations with Bayern Munich, as per reports by Chilean media outlet El Murcurio.

The reports went further to claim the Bavarian giants are willing to offer £50million and a contract worth £11million per season in an attempt to lure the Chilean away from North London.

It was also said that Bayern star Arturo Vidal could help Sanchez decide as he and the Chilean share the same agent.

This comes after the Daily Star previously reported Bayern were ready to offer the player a “massive” deal in order to persuade him to leave the North London club.

The 28-year-old’s contract is still valid for another year, so Arsenal may be eager to sell him out to avoid releasing him on a free transfer next year.

Sanchez’s ease of finding the net this season has seen him pick up 29 goals and 19 assists in 50 league and cup appearances.

However, his best performance is in the Premier League, netting 24 in 36 appearances, breaking the 20-league goal barrier for the first time as a part of the Gunners team.

The report also claim Pep Guardiola is in pursuit of the 28-year-old and hopes to bring him to Manchester City this summer, though the German club are the favourite to win the battle for his signature as Arsene Wenger would prefer not to have him move to a competitor’s club.
