According to reports by the Catalan newspaper SPORT, Manchester City have commence negotiation for Hector Bellerin, who have been a target for them for a while now.
Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the 22-year old Arsenal Right-back and City made an offer for the player last summer, but were overridden by their Premier League rivals.
The report further stated that City management were anticipating the end of the season before they could officially make an offer, and have now fulfilled their wish, presenting a reasonable offer before Arsenal. They are now awaiting news, but they are well aware this would not be an easy feat to achieve, with Bellerin still held to a long-term contract at the Emirates and former club Barcelona also eyeing a move for the right-back.
Bellerin’s asking price will be nothing less than €40 million (£34.5 million), a fee not all club are willing to offer for a right-back, but City are said to be eager to purchase the player regardless of the price because Bellerin is liked by both Guardiola and Txiki Begiristain.
