Arsenal are reportedly in hot pursuit of Monaco right-back Djibril Sidibe following a failed attempt in the previous summer.
The 24-year old, who can be used effectively on both side of central defence, had received an offer from by the North London club last year before he transferred to AS Monaco from Lille.
He enjoyed huge success with the Principality outfit, helping them to claim the Ligue 1 title and also reaching the semi-final of the Champions League
Sidibe has once said that he is open to a future move to the Premier League, and as per report by L’Equipe, the Gunners have initiated contact with Monaco.
Both Hector Bellerin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been magnificent in the right wing-back role but the club will want to consider a better option for the position.
Sidibe has impressed many with his display this season and it looks like he could be moving out of the Stade Louis II this summer alongside many of his teammates.
The was called up to the France national squad last year, and he could want to join his fellow teammates Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud, who both have established themselves at the Emirates.
Sidibe made a total of 47 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions this season, scoring three goals and assisting another seven.
