Piers Morgan has implored Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to submit a bid of £80 million to sign Diego Costa from Chelsea.
The Spain international has been released and can leave the Premier League champions in the summer transfer window.
Costa picked up 20 goals in 35 league appearances to help the West London side to claim the title glory in Antonio Conte’s debut season as the clubs manager.
However, the Chelsea manager has not been using Costa as often as he wants at the Stamford Bridge as the blues look to pen a new deal in the summer.
Arsenal are facing the prospect of losing Chile international Alexis Sanchez in the summer with less than 12 months remaining on his current deal.
Outspoken Arsenal stakeholder Morgan asked that Wenger make an offer for the two-time Premier League champion Costa
Morgan wrote on Twitter: “Arsenal should bid £80 million for Diego Costa. Then keep bidding until we get him.”
