Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Managers are now pushing forward with their summer plans for the transfer market and Arsenal have gone ahead of Tottenham in their bid to sign juventus winger Juan Cuadrado after submitting a bid of £17.6 million, but they will have to go deeper if they really want to get the deal done, as per reports from The Sun.
The Sun claim the submitted have already been rejected by Juventus with the Serie A champions demanding closer to £30m. The newspaper also claim Arsenal will have to face strong competition for Cuardrado’s signature from Tottenham as Mauricio Pochettino also have the player on his target list this summer.
The 29-year-old has some little experience in England having spent a 6-month spell at Chelsea in 2015 before moving on to Juventus after failing to land a permanent spot at Stamford Bridge.
Cuadrado has had a decent success back in Italy as he started 21 games to help Max Allegri’s team reclaim the title last season was a second half substitute during the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
However, the Sun suggest Juve are willing to let go of the winger this summer if an offer of £30m is made as they look to raise funds for their move for Bayern Munich’s Douglas Costa.
We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks but Cuadrado would be a solid signing for Arsenal if the north London could get a deal done this summer.
