Arsenal have commenced negotiation with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas and his advisor Gerard Houllier about making an offer for Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to reports in France.

French publication Le Progres, as cited by Metro, reported that Arsenal have been in talks with the Ligue 1 outfit about their starlet.

The same report further claimed that former Liverpool manager Houllier was with Lyon President Aulas for the negotiations with the Premier League side.

The Europa League semi-finalists are said to holding out for €55 m (£48.7m) as an initial fee with a further €12m (£10.6m) in add-ons.

According to Le Progres, Lyon have also asked if they could make an offer for France striker Olivier Giroud.
