Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Arsenal and Chelsea have both indicated interest in securing the signature of CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin this summer but the Gunners seem to be the frontrunner in pursuit of the player.
The Metro reported that Arsene Wenger sent a scout to watch Golovin in action earlier this summer during the Confederations Cup and bring back report to the French manager.
It’s understood that Chelsea have made enquiries into signing the £20m-rated star this summer, but Arsenal are definitely the most likely to land the player.
Golovin found the net three times and provided four assists for CSKA in the league last season and is believed to be joining the Gunners, say the Mirror.
Chelsea are close to sealing the deal for a number of players, including Tiemoue Bakayoko, Romelu Lukaku and Alex Sandro but are still yet to significantly add to their first-team squad this summer with only former Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero the only signing thus far.
