Although Arsene Wenger has promised that he would only sign top quality players that can add more depth to the Gunners squad, it has been revealed to that he still wants to hold on to his former policy of buying the best young talents from around the world to try and find a bargain.
The most recent target is reported to be the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Aymen Barkok, who broke into the Bundesliga outfit’s first team this season, appearing in 19 games.
Barkok has recently being called into the Germany Under19 side and according to the German news outlet Spox, Wenger has been keeping tabs on this attacking midfielder for a while now and after being rejected last year he has now gone back with another offer that does not exceed £10m.
The Bundesliga seem to be producing lots of exciting young stars at the moment, and Joachim Loew took a team in transition to the Confederations Cup and still managed to win it, defeating Alexis Sanchez’s Chile side in the Final. Le Prof has already brought Sead Kolasinac to the Emirates from Schalke earlier this summer, and he may be close to nabbing another rising star from Germany…
