Several Premier League clubs are looking to sign Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka, as per the print edition of German publication Sport Bild. The report says that Premier League outfits Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are all intent on signingthe 22-year-old, while Champions League winners Real Madrid are also in pursuit of the player.
The report further stated that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been keeping tabs on Goretzka for a while now, and wants to add him to the ranks at the Emirates this summer.
However, Schalke have said that they do not wish to see Goretzka leave, even though his contract will be coming to an end next year. The report suggests that a fee in the region of €20-30m will still not be enough to convince the German side to sell the midfielder.
Goretzka transferred to Schalke in 2013 from boyhood club VFL Bochum, and since has played 118 games, bagging 15 goals and providing 12 assists for his teammates.
