Premier League outfit Arsenal wants to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani this summer after seeing two bids turned down last season.
Although, according to Transfer Market Web, the chances of a possible move are very slim, Arsenal are still hoping that a deal could come through with the Serie A champions and will make a renewed offer for the centr-back.
The Turin club have made it clear that the 23-year-old Italian is not for sale this summer after already shipping off Leonardo Bonucci to rivals AC Milan.
Rugani is highly rated by Juventus and may be ready to rise up the pecking order to replace Leonardo Bonucci.
Arsenal made an attempt to buy the defender twice last season but two bids were rejected and it seems that Arsene Wenger is a huge fan of the defender.
With Per Mertesacker set to hang his boot at the end of the season, Wenger is looking for a long-term replacement at centre-back.
Wenger seems to now prefer a three man defence with two wing-backs, which is a system that Rugani is familiar with due to his time at Juventus.
However, it seems that a deal for Rugani will not happen this summer but the Gunners are closely monitoring the situation.
