The right-back has been rumored with a move away from the Emirates for a long while. With the likes of Bordeaux and Nice came close to acquiring his signature, but wage demands are believed to have caused the deal to fall through.

Debuchy spent a short loan spell with Bordeaux but couldn’t agree personal terms. Marseille have a lot of money this summer so they shouldn’t struggling meeting the player’s demands.
