Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Lucas Perez’s agent has reportedly held a meeting with Arsene Wenger and Dick Law over a possible return to the Forward’s former club, Deportivo, this summer.
Arsenal brought the 28-year-old to the Emirates from the La Liga side a year ago in a £17m deal. However, it is apparently looking more likely that Lucas will return on loan with an option to buy, according to Goal’s Chris Wheatley.

Lovelle recently complained that the Gunners’ asking price for the Spaniard was way too much after Deportivo had a €12m offer – just under £11m – turned down. Arsenal are said to be demanding for €15m (£13.6m)… a whole €3m more.
While Newcastle were for a short while linked with a move for Lucas and Rafa Benitez was very open about his interest, Deportivo always looked confident of getting their man back. Which begs the question of why they let him go in the first place……. Although looking at the profit they stand to gain, maybe it doesn’t.
After missing 16 games as a result of injury last season, Lucas was unhappy with the little playing time he gets at the club and his obvious lack of progress which made him decide to try his luck elsewhere ahead of the World Cup next year.
Despite making it known that he wants to move, his agent got furious when Arsenal gave record signing Alexandre Lacazette the #9 shirt Lucas clearly would not be using.
This transfer ‘saga’ has rattled on for way too long now. Hopefully it draws to a conclusion soon.
