Arsenal are reportedly ready to make a shock offer of £32m for Paris Saint-Germain ace Julian Draxler as he has been informed he is surplus to requirements following the world record arrival of Neymar from Barcelona.
The arrival of Neymar will affect the 23-year-old as it would mean he would get less playing time under Unai Emery and there are still some talks making round that the French giants could be making one more major splash in the transfer market before the transfer deadline later this month.
According to The Times, Arsenal could now make another offer for the German playmaker as he has been on the Gunners radar for a long-time now, with a £32m bid being touted.
Draxler enjoyed a decent start to life in France after his move in January from Wolfsburg, finding the net four times and assisting two in 17 Ligue 1 appearances.
However, it’s claimed in the report that the Neymar signing isn’t his only problem, as he is already fallen out of favor with Emery which in turn has put Arsenal on red alert.
Nevertheless, this could perhaps be more of an opportunistic signing than anything, as if Draxler is looking for a way out of PSG and they’re willing to negotiate, then perhaps it’s a move that Arsenal can’t ignore and will push to improve their squad further.
There’s no denying he is a good player as he’s impressed for club and country for a number of years now, but question marks arguably have to be raised about his personality as this isn’t the first report about possible trouble outside the pitch.
