Arsenal are ready to offer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a new lucrative deal which would keep him at the Emirates Stadium for extra four-years.
The midfielder has entered into the final year of his present deal with the club and has been heavily linked with a move away from the north London club, with Chelsea and Liverpool both touted as a possible destination.
However it appears that Chelsea are the most interested in his signature, with reports suggesting they are hoping to seal a deal for him before the transfer deadline later this month.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has remained unmoved by the situation and just like Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, seemed prepared to risk Oxlade-Chamberlain leaving for free next summer.
Reports now claim that is not the case, and Arsenal will offer the player a four-year deal worth £125,000 a week to convince him to snub any offer coming from Chelsea and remain where he is.
The midfielder has started both of Arsenal’s opening Premier League games and is clearly in the thoughts of Wenger, who will fight to keep hold.
