Galatasray are only ready to sign Arsenal Kieran Gibbs if the Gunners will take £4 million for the left-back, according to the Times.
The Gunners are reportedly holding out for £10 million but with the transfer deadline drawing nearer with each day, the club are in danger of losing the player for nothing. The 27 year old will be able to talk to club in January about a free transfer next summer when his contract expires.
Arsenal’s original asking price was said to be £15million which stopped several clubs from making an offer for the defender. Watford were the club likeliest to make a formal bid but the Mirror has reported that the Hornets turned down the opportunity because Gibbs was unwilling to beat down his wage demands.
Galatasaray on the other hand may be quite willing to agree to the player’s personal terms but the £6m difference in valuation could be an hinderance. The Turkish club are also pursuing Juventus’s Kwadwo Asamoah who could be available for just €7m or £6.4m according to reports in Italy.
