Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s management team have revealed on twitter their star client has agreed on a move to Liverpool.

Colossal Sports Management announced “deal agreed” on their account on the social media website on Wednesday afternoon.

They did not mention Oxlade-Chamberlain in the tweet but the hashtags of Liverpool and You’ll Never Walk Alone, alongside the club’s badge, made it glaring they were referring to the much anticipated transfer.

This comes after widespread reports that Liverpool were given the go ahead by Arsenal to negotiate personal terms with the attacking midfielder.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been insistent that he wanted to keep the midfielder and described the player as the future of the club as recently as Friday.

But it has been stated that the club’s stance has changed in the wake of their humiliating 4-0 defeat at Anfield on Sunday and they are now willing to cash in on him.

The fee, which the BBC are reporting at £40m but other sources as somewhere between £35m and that figure, is the same with terms agreed with Chelsea earlier this week before Oxlade-Chamberlain ultimately decided not to further his career with the Blues but decided he would rather play in central midfield at Anfield rather than at right wing back at Stamford Bridge.

With the personal terms seemingly now agreed upon, the 24-year-old’s medical is expected to take place at England’s base at St. George’s Park on Wednesday evening and an official announcement could even be made later that night, though that is more likely to happen on Thursday.
