Juventus have offered a part exchange deal for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman, according to La Republica (via TMW).
The Italian news outlet reports that the bid was turned down by the Giallorossi, but another newspaper publication, the Corriere Dello Sport say that the Dutchman is available for transfer this window.
Arsenal were first rumored with an interest in Strootman back in November, alongside Manchester United, but the player’s loss of form this season would certainly be a cause of concern for the North London club.
The Dutch international has registered just one this term and has been unable to provide any assist, in 21 Serie A appearances, and his performances have earned him much criticism.
Strootman has been inflicted with two serious knee injuries during his four and a half years at Roma, and there have to be question marks over whether the lengthy periods on the sidelines have taken their toll.
Still, it looks as though Roma won’t let the midfielder go on the cheap. Juve’s offer reportedly was worth €7million (£6.2m) plus Rolando Mandragora, who is currently on loan at Crotone.
