Aubameyang deal announced as Dortmund signs replacement from Chelsea

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is undergoing medicals at Arsenal ahead of his £60m transfer to the Emirates.

The Gabon international striker was present at Arsenal’s training ground on Tuesday to talk out the terms of a £180,000-a-week deal ahead of his Borussia Dortmund exit.

He was having his medical at London Colney on Wednesday morning but Dortmund will only let the deal come to reality if they are able to acquire a replacement.

That man is likely to be Michy Batshuayi, which will see Arsenal striker Giroud replace the Belgian’s at Chelsea.

Arsenal seemingly confirmed the deal was sealed after the defeat to Swansea.

The post-match clip has since been deleted but footage has emerged on Social media from the apparent interview with the club’s official website.

The reporter asks: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is an Arsenal player, you must be delighted to get the deal done?”

Wenger replies: “Yes, it is good news. We need people who can give us more offensive power.

“He has a big challenge in front of him. He wants to do well in the Premier League.

“It is absolutely good news for us.”

Reports in Germany claim Aubameyang’s arrival will see Mesut Ozil sign a new deal at the Emirates.
