Premier League giants Arsenal have this afternoon confirmed that versatile youngster Krystian Bielik has joined League One outfit Charlton Athletic on loan for the season.

Bielik, a 20-year-old Polish youth international who can play either as a central defender or in a deep-lying midfield role, has been on the books of Arsenal since the summer of 2015, when he made the move to North London from Legia Warsaw.

However, Bielik has since found game-time tough to come by at the Emirates, leading to loan spells away from the club during the last two campaigns.

The first saw the Pole make the move to Birmingham City in January of last year, with Bielik having gone on to start a respectable 8 Championship outings at St. Andrew’s.

A shoulder injury picked up by the Legia youth product prevented him from heading out on loan last summer, but, after undergoing surgery on the problem, Bielik made the move to League One with Walsall for the second-half of the season.
