An Arsenal revolution this summer?

A revolution is on the horizon at Arsenal according to today’s newspapers, as manager Arsene Wenger is due to change things big time at the Emirates Stadium club.

The Frenchman wants to offer deals to Robin Van Persie, Walcott and Song that they can’t refuse, and that means breaking the wage barrier the club currently has. In order to to go too much over the total wage budget Wenger will have to shake the dead wood, so a few are likely to leave.

Arshavin is already on loan at Zenit, and the Russian club will likely pay the £6 million fee to get him for good in the summer.

Chamakh is also very much likely to leave, and so are Almunia and Squillaci. Bordeaux, PSG and Sevilla are all reportedly interested in Chamakh who has proven to be not much more than a flop at Arsenal.

Wenger is also due to renegociate Ox’s contract who now earns £25.000 according to Football Mirror, and he’s already agreed on terms with Koln’s striker Lukas Podolski.

It’s going to be a very crowded summer transfer window, and hopefully next season will come with the trophies all Gunner fans are craving for, so things finally seem to be looking up.
