Arsenal Face Competition For Russian Star Playmaker

Arsenal target Alan Dzagoev might end up in London, but according the rumours cross-town rivals Tottenham are favorites to land him at the moment despite Arsene Wenger’s interest.

The French manager spoke about his interest to land the Russian attacking midfielder, admitting that the young Russian is a very talented player. Dzagoev’s father has spoken about interest coming from all sort of clubs, but he mentioned that Tottenham are one of the favorites.

“I don’t know if he will stay at CSKA. There are offers — from Spurs and other foreign clubs.

“But I tell him not to hurry. Yuri Zhirkov ran off to Chelsea and sat on the bench.”

Dzagoev spoke about his interest to make the move away from his current side CSKA, saying after the Euro:

“It is true that I am willing to try myself in other clubs, in another league, in Europe.”

Arsene Wenger will be looking to build on his midfield options now that the forward compartment has been highly reinforced after Giroud and Podolski joined. With Wilshere and Diaby’s forms still in doubt, Wenger will be looking to find worthy replacements for Nasri and Fabregas who haven’t yet been replaced at Arsenal after leaving on such short notice last summer. Do yo think that Dzagoev could be one of the stars of the team?

sell diaby and arshavin buy dzagoev we wud have a great player and save on wage bill. Cant see wenger missing out on this one he fits the bill, young, final year of contract and technically very good. Be stupid to let him slip through the net especially to spurs!

U havent watch more of his game, forget about his euro performance. He is a useless player not good enough 2 b a gunners. Ramsey is far beta dan him. Even cska will b very happy 2 cash in on him. We dont need him. Get dempsey instead of him

@samako41 mind your tongue here.you dont call anybody by the name useless.the guy scored three goals in the euro and got a couple of goals for cska in the just concluded season far better than daiby and ramsey combined.

men ramsey seems to be a better player but not in front of goal. Ramsey had a lot of goal scoring opportunities last season but all he did was blast dem wide. wat we need is someone like him that can convert even half chances into goals.

Good point you make. The fans are always too excited when names are mentioned; whatever names! But rather than Dempsey I would have thought Dembele was more of a playmaker?

Arsenal really sucks. I’d prefer Clint Dempsey who has got the premiership experience than that Allan guy of yours!

Cabaye has been tested and his performance for newcastle last season was legendary. he well fit in to our mid-field if diaby and arsharvin are sold.

Exactly the man I want! Cabaye is better than almost all the names I’ve heard us mentioned with this summer! Go for yohan!
