The ongoing drama surrounding the contract status of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal has taken a new dimension if report by The Mirror is anything to go by.
The publication claims that after Arsene Wenger signed a new two-year contract, the duo have joined heads and demanded for wages of £350,000 per week to remain at the club.
Recent rumors claimed Arsenal have increased their offer to both players and are willing to turn them into the highest paid players on £280,000 per week.
However, the duo does not seem content with the offer and have demanded for a wage higher than what was offered with both players well aware that if they fail to pen a new deal, Arsenal face losing them for free next season when their current deals expire.
The reports stated that Ozil has refused to sign the recent contract the club placed before him and is holding for £350,000 per week while Sanchez has suggested he will be staying for another season before leaving.
The duo’s contract needs to be sorted out so the club can know which way to proceed.
