It has been a good summer so far in the Arsenal transfer market, but Arsene Wenger has not finished yet. It seems like Arsenal have chosen the Palermo and Italy keeper Emiliano Viviano to push Wojciech Szczesney for his jersey.
The 26-year old Viviano is the second choice keeper for Italy so it is no surprise that his international caps have been limited to six. Buffon is widely regarded as the best stopper in the world so, while it restricts the opportunities of Viviano, he has got the best role model possible.
This might not be the most exciting transfer rumour for Arsenal fans but it could be a crucial signing. Szczesney had a nightmare at Euro 2012, getting sent off and losing his place in the first team. If something similar happens in the Premier league, all of Arsenal’s attacking flair could be wasted.
