Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Arsenal have already commenced negotiation with Paris Saint-Germain over the signature of attacker Lucas Moura as they take away their focus from Malcom, according to reports. The Gunners’ effort to bring the 20-year-old to the Premier League in January proved abortive and so they have switched their attention to his compatriot.
Lucas is a long-term target for Manchester United, though the Red Devils cooled their interest in January after acquiring Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, but it’s bitter local rival Tottenham Hotspur that would be the Gunners biggest competition to signing him.
Arsene Wenger had initially requested that Lucas moves to north London on loan deal, but they are now negotiating a permanent deal following Spurs’ huge offer for the 25-year-old, according to the Express. Mauricio Pochettino’s outfit are thought to have submitted a bid in the region of £38million and the pair are going head-to-head to sign him before the transfer window slams shut.
