According to various reports in the British and French media, Arsenal have as much as £100 million to spend once the summer transfer window opens and this is aside the £30 million spent on Granit Xhaka.
Now according to footballinsider, Wenger is on the verge of completing yet anither transfer deal. This time AS Roma star Kostas Manolas is said to be on his way to Arsenal in a deal said to be worth another £30 million.
The former Olympiakos star was thought to be on his way in 2014 but for whatever reason, he ended up signing for AS Roma and with Arsenal now in need of a centre back, a move for Manolas makes a lot of sense even though judging by the football leaks revealation earlier last month, a deal may be difficult to do.
Football insider however thinks Wenger is keen on getting the powerful centre back and as a matter of fact been locked in discussion with AS Roma officials for the Greece international. Arsenal are said to be using their relationship with AS Roma to get a deal done.
Recall Arsenal sent Szszesny on loan to Roma and the Italian club are said to be interested in making the deal permanent. It means Arsenal can easily use the Poland international goalkeeper to get a deal done.
