Arsenal’s clearout of unwanted players begins at last

In order to gather funds for future transfers, Arsene Wenger is trying to sell several unwanted players to reduce the size of the present Arsenal squad before buying splashing out in the transfer market.

Nicklas Bendtner, Denilson, Sebastien Squillaci and Johan Djourou could all be sold by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, hopefully to make room for more talented players like Junior Hoilett, Salomon Kalou, Yann M’Vila and Steven N’Zonzi.

Arsenal’s manager opens a giant sale before starting the fight for summer signings. The club’s transfer fixer, Dick Law, will try to sell several players like Nicklas Bendtner, Denilson, Lukasz Fabianski and Carlos Vela over the next two weeks.

Bendtner ended his loan at Sunderland, but Wenger doesn’t count on him for next year’s squad, and he has been linked to Germany as his destination.

Fabianski wishes to leave, to try and get regular first team action, while Vela is on Real Sociedad and Espanyol’s radar. Denilson is currently on loan at Sao Paolo, but the deal also approaches the end, and rumors are that he will be forced into a pay cut to stay in Brazil.

Fabianski is apparently wanted by West Ham United, so it is very possible he also leaves the club, and Andrey Arshavin is likely to make the loan to Zenit St Petersburg into a permanent move.

Junior Hoilett and Steven N’Zonzi from Blackburn, Salomon Kalou , currently a free agent, Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila are all Wenger’s reported targets, but the manager has to trim the present squad before he can make any new signings.

I think we can probably count on the sale of Bendtner, Squillaci, Vela, Denilson and perhaps Landsbury with Chamakh, Djourou, Arshavin and Park as players that should be added to the list and with Benayoun probably not being retained. The squad then becomes threadbare in keepers and strikers so we should expect 2 backup keepers and 2 backup strikers to be bought. I haven’t checked the number of home-grown players but I think there are between 1 and 3 squad places for over 21yo foreigners who play in positions other than striker or keeper. Don’t expect a flood of world class signings (in addition to Podolski) but we might see one or two.

Good news finally taking these players off the wage bill. Hopefully now Arsenal can be working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure once one goes another quality comes straight in!

Lansbury- No. Chamakh & Djourou- I wouldn’t mind if they stay. The rest – they can go.

i think we need center half and left bak and world class midfielder and maybe bak up GK so incase szcznesny dont get injuried so wenger needs to get experience keeper coz fabinaski is leaving and i think we should get someone like craig gordon or vorm and then sign world class centre half like vertonghan or someone that can defend really well and a winner and we need world class midfielder someone to replace fabregas so just experience keeper to bak up szcznesny and a centre half and left bak and world class mid
