Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
It is a well-known fact that Arsenal likes Monaco starlet Thomas Lemar as they have already submitted a few offers for him which has so far been rejected.
According to Steve Stammers (via the Bleacherreport), Wenger would be willing to offer up to 50 million pounds for Lemar. Even so, it seems like Monaco are holding out for an offer from Barcelona as they are now capable to outbid Arsenal. The catalan side just cashed in on Neymar and they are now searching for a replacement and Lemar could be a good candidate for that, It remains to be seen if Wenger would be able to get past the50 million pound mark or even break their club record once again to sign the highly technical player.
Monaco have sold Mendy, Bernardo Silva and Bakayoko this past off-season which means that they are not under any pressure to sell anymore player. Kylian Mbappe, Radamel Falcao, Fabinho and Lemar have all being all being a subject of transfer speculation with reported interest from some of the biggest clubs out there but Monaco are now in a strong financial position. Going back to Lemar, Arsenal are still strongly in the hunt but they know that they will have to spend a large sum of money to convince Monaco to sell to them and to outdid rivals.
