Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Unai Emery was appointed at the Emirates to replace outgoing Arsene Wenger in May.
Fans were very impressed when the 46-year-old took his first session earlier this week.
But his latest session at London Colney has left the Arsenal faithful confused.
Official footage from the club’s social media channel shows the Gunners training in a very unusual way.
In the clip, the players are running around holding the ball instead of kicking it.
Playing a game similar to rugby, they try to find players on their team while moving at pace.
Throwing the ball quickly, some players get creative by making an arch for one player to run through.
While Emery will be sure of the benefits of this exercise, many Arsenal fans were left baffled.
“Wrong sport guys,” one fan wrote.
Another added: “No wonder we only finished sixth. The lads though they could use their hands.
While a third simply asked: “What is this supposed to improve?”
And a fourth went as far as calling back Emery’s predecessor.
“Bring back Wenger… this guy is playing handball,” they said.
This comes as Arsenal’s announcement of Lucas Torreira was rinsed by Liverpool fans.
